Fresh Perspectives, Fresh Shots: Dive Into The Latest Work

Just back from the road this fall, and I’m excited to present some of my latest work showcasing exceptional brands: Royal RobbinsYakima and Oboz. From late-season backpacking excursions through Colorado’s Independence Pass, to river running Oregon’s Clackamas, the goal was to capture the spirited vibe of mountain living.

Check out the highlights below, or better yet, take a deeper dive into the full projects. Trust me, it’s worth the journey!

We spent a couple of days with the Royal Robbins team lost in the enchanting limestone pockets of Colorado’s Shelf Road. It’s a terrain that holds a special place in my heart from my old days cragging in the Rockies. The high-desert landscape not only sets the stage but also perfectly complements the timeless elegance of Royal Robbins’ sweaters, giving a nod to the company’s climbing heritage. The accessibility of this location makes it a dreamy spot for capturing the essence of the brand.

A mere stone’s throw from Portland and under the watchful gaze of Mount Hood, the Clackamas River is a kayaker’s Shangri-la. My first collaboration with Yakima was an absolute blast. Being a long-time fan of their products, partnering with such a respected brand in the industry was a fantastic experience.(stay tuned for accompanying video launches).

Assigned by Oboz Footwear in Bozeman, I convinced two climbing buddies to swap walls for the stunning late-season views of Colorado’s Continental Divide on a quick overnighter. An unforecasted storm turned into a lucky twist, bringing with it some extraordinary lighting. We jumped right to work, taking advantage of the ever-changing, dynamic light before retreating into our tents for a bitter 12 hour stint. It just goes to show, you can’t really predict mountain weather!
